Q :Can this be used inside for kitchen floor ? As looking for a random pattern to give the old fashioned look to complement my new kitchen

A :Hello, thank you for your question. These tiles can also be used for indoor use however we recommend making sure the thickness of these tiles is taken into consideration as well as the extra weight which is included with the thickness of the tiles as the thickness effects how high the flooring is and lining the tiles up to doorways means these doorways may also need to be lifted. We would not recommend using these tiles on subsurface without insuring that it can adequately bare the extra weight.

Q :I am looking to make a path on my drive to my front door out of these tiles. Whilst we aren’t planning to directly drive on the tiles, there may be a small amount of pulling onto the dive where wheels may go on the tiles. Laid correctly, are these tiles able to take a vehicle’s weight do you know?

A :Hello Lee These are 20 mm thick tiles, we wouldn't recommend anything less than 30 mm paving tiles for such use. We hope this is helpful

Q :Hello, is this particular Brazilian Black Slate frost-proof, or will frost damage it? Furthermore, parts of our patio are very sunny - we are concerned whether it will get become too hot to walk on during the summer? If dark slate isnt suitable for a hot/sunny spot - can you recommend another product that looks similar, but will remain relatively cool on a hot day?

A :Hi Ms Mackay Thank you for your interest in our product and we hope you are well. All paving tiles are designed with the knowledge of them being exposed to external elements and temperatures such as snow rain and direct sunlight. They are at the optimal thickness to bear such extremes without being damaged in any way, however, dark tones and colours by nature absorb more heat and therefore direct sunlight during summertime will heat up these tiles more so than any lighter colour pavings. A :Hello Ms Beckett, these are paving tiles that come in 30mm thickness, they are primarily designed for external use and are not normally used in indoor installations.

Q :would these be suitable for making a hearth for a woodburning stove also as there would be an outside edge on show at the front and sides would these be the same colour as the top surface

A :Good afternoon, thank you for your interest in our product. We have had customer make use of our stones in varying untraditional ways with which using them as hearth is one of them , however , we would still like to advise on only using natural tiles in more traditional ways. The shade of edges of tiles can vary a little as they do understanbly go through machinery that cut them in specific size , therefore please expect some differences.
