Multicolour Slate - Calibrated Riven
Q :Hi I want to use these in a kitchen but my existing (Ceramic) tiles are quiet badly chipped where we've dropped things on them. If use these slate tiles am I right in thinking that any chips can be resealed and would be less noticeable?
A :Good morning Mr Billington
Thank you for your interest in our product and we hope you are safe, we are not quite sure of what you mean when you state chips being resealed. These are natural stone tiles that have no fillings however, when grouting if there are any small chipping's along the edges due to cutting, these may well be harder to notice after the grouting process.
Hope this is helpful information.
Q :Do you have a shop that we can come and collect from or do we have to have them delivered
Thank you for your question.
Unfortunetly we don't have any stores, we are an online based company however collection is availabe from our warehouses. Please send us an email and we will be happy to discuss this in detals.
Q :Good afternoon
Could you please clarify why, although this product is a natural slate, your information says that it is for internal use, suggesting that it isn't suitable for external use? If purchased I would like to use it on the floor of an open porch which does catch a little rain.
A :Good afternoon,
Many thanks for your question.
Due to the thickness of the tile this tile will not be suitable for certain weather condition's / temperatures, we recommend tiles to be at least at 20mm-30mm thick for outdoors.
Q :Hi, hope you can help me? I’m looking to match up an existing slate tile already laid. It is chinese slate in autumn colours so rust grey etc. Tiles are 300 x 300. Are these tiles Chinese slate as they do look a good match
A :Hello Mr Matthews
We hope you are well.
Although these are very similar items, our product is from India and not China.
A free sample can be requested through our website to help better compare these products.
Hope this is helpful.

Q :Will this scratch if walked on with shoes? Does it crack easily? Want to use inside porch.
A :Good morning,
Thank you for your question.
Slate tiles are very hard wearing, they are water resistant also very durable,we also recommend slate tiles for high traffic areas. please kindly note this tile may vary in thickness as these are riven tiles.
Q :Hi - is this product suitable for wet underfloor heating applications? Is it suitable for installation over a limecrete sub-floor if bedded in lime mortar? Thanks
A :Hi, this product is suitable for underfloor heating, however we are not very familiar with limecrete subfloor. A quick Google search has revealed some manufacturers, which we suggest asking them their opinion. As long as the sub-floor does not move and cause the tiles to crack, or does not create too much dampness which can be absorbed by the stone, it should be fine
Q :Hi how many tiles do you get in a box thanks
A :Hi thank you for your question, the Multi colour slate 300 x 300 come in a box of 10 tiles.
