Q :How much grout and adhesive should I buy for grouting 30sq m of 300 x 300 slate floor tiles?

A :Hi, Thank you for your question.
For 30sqm of 300 x 300mm slate you will need approx 171kg which is 9 bags of Adhesive and approx 19kg of grout. On the website when you place the order in the basket, if you scroll down and under essential products the website guides you as to much of each product you may need should you choose to purchases it. As of writing this reply, we currently only have 14m2 of the 305 x 305 in stock in this item, they are perfectly OK to use on the walls however, for wet areas they need to be correctly installed with a waterproof membrane as to ensure your backing wall is protected from water exposure. Our mosaic tiles in this range is currently out of stock with no current time of arrival we can provide.

Tiles and the mosaic tiles are manufactured from natural slate tiles however, natural variation within natural stones should always be expected on all natural products.

Yes, we do recommend a sealer before and after grouting to be applied to all natural stones, and then once every year for maintenance. Kindly checkout our LTP sealer range for suitable sealers.

Q :Good morning. We have been asked by our client to install an Electric underfloor heating system, beaneth your slate flooring.
As the supplier of this product please could you specify the Watt/ m2 required.
The sub-floor is Concrete and will have a 10mm backer board installed.
The total floor area will be about 39mtr2, with three heating zones.
The instalation will be completed as per BS7671 Section 753 embedded heating sysytems.

Q :Hi I want to use these in a kitchen but my existing (Ceramic) tiles are quiet badly chipped where weve dropped things on them. If use these slate tiles am I right in thinking that any chips can be resealed and would be less noticeable?

Thank you for your interest in our product and we hope you are safe, we are not quite sure of what you mean when you state chips being resealed. These are natural stone tiles that have no fillings however, when grouting if there are any small chippings along the edges due to cutting, these may well be harder to notice after the grouting process.
