Q :Hi I'm looking at doing a feature wall to include a TV and fire ,however is there corner tiles as I dont want a different colour showing on the external corners of the tile
Ie where the tile is cut
02/02/2021
A :Good morning,
Thank you for your question.
Unfortunetly for the claddings, we haven't got any corner tiles however the claddings are usually cut and slotted together around corners by the tilers.
Many thanks.

Q :Hi are these suitable to go on an external garage block wall for aesthetic or would it need a waterproof membrane. Many thanks
07/01/2021
A :Good morning,
The cladding's are recommended for interior use, however if used for exterior we recommend using a waterproof membrane , please kindly consult a tiler before installation and for further advice.
Many thanks.

Q :Hi,what are these panels made of and are they easy to cut?
09/12/2020
A :Good afternoon Mr Fulton
These tiles are made from natural slate tiles that are stuck together to make a Z shape where each panel slots into each other to seamlessly make up the overall installation.
Providing the correct natural stone tile cutting blade is used, they are easier to cut than more harder stones such as marble and granite.
I hope this is helpful information.

Q :Hi, I’m just wondering in how these are fixed? I would be fixing these to a plasterboard wall which has been painted?
03/12/2020
A :Hello Ross
A acrylic based primer such as BAL Primer should be applied to the plasterboard with a brush or roller and leave to dry before applying any powered adhesives. The joints and internal corners should be reinforced using a suitable alkaline joint tape before tiling. It is also advised to apply a thin coat of adhesive onto the tape. If you’re using a ready-mixed adhesive such as BAL White Star Plus or BAL All Star then no priming is required.
We hope this is helpful.

Q :Are these panels actually 3d or is it a picture/photo of bricks just for effect ?
04/11/2020
A :Hello Diana
Claddings and Split face tiles are manufactured with varying thickness of smaller individual tiles. This is not an effect but more the natural look of the tiles themselves.
We hope this is helpful information.

Q :Would this be suitable on a wall behind a woodburner (3 inch gap ) Thank you. Kind regards
07/08/2020
A :Good day Ms/Mr Baker, being natural stones these can take some exposure to heat variations as long as they are not too close to or subjected to direct flames.
Hope this is helpful

Q :Would thease be suitable for a wet room
15/05/2020
A :Good morning,
Many thanks for your question.
The claddings are more suitable for dry areas, however as they are not water proof we recommend a waterproof membrane sheet to put down with claddings. We also advice all customers to consult a professional tiler before any installation.
If you have any questions, please contact us.

Q :I am looking at this product to fit round a bifold door on a summer house (external). If the surface is sealed is this product suitable for that?
15/05/2020
A :Good afternoon Sean
Thank you for your interest in our product and we hope you are safe.
Because these specially arrange tiles can not be grouted, they need to be installed with a waterproof membrane backing and also regularly cleaning is needed as to prevent things such as dirt and mould build-up at the joints. This is the main reason claddings and split face tiles are not recommended for external.
However, we have still had customers who have taken all this into consideration and decided in installing these types of tiles externally in the past.
Hope this is helpful.

Q :Hi there, I’m looking for 3m sq to be fitted around 3 walls in my kitchen as a splash back.
I’m wondering if this is suitable, how much it would cost and if it’s possible to cut to fit electrical sockets?
Would I need any special type of adhesive and protective coating?
Many thanks

A :Good afternoon Mr Paterson
Firstly , thank you for your interest in our product and we hope you are safe and well.
These are perfectly fine to use as splashback providing they are installed correctly, however they will need regular cleaning to avoid possible mould build up as no grouting can be used on this product. We also recommend at least sealing this product twice. They can be cut using the correct cutting tools for the type of stones these are. We recommend Flexible standard adhesive as the mixture is more suitable to stick tiles on walls.
