Q :I need to drill into the tiles to attach something, just wanted to check what you would advise for the drillbit. Would a masonry bit suffice as slate is a little softer, or would you use diamond tile bit do you think? Thanks
A :Hello, We recommend a diamond drill bit, however, we would recommend also consulting a professional tiler as they will have on-site expertise that may help provide you with a more reliable answer. Kind regards
David
Q :Can you send me (and/or add) a photo of a single panel? I'm trying to work out how I will deal with corners, especially external corners.
A :Hello, Thank you for your question, the photos on the website shows 4 panels together, they come in a z shape and they simply slot together and the corners you can cut the ends off to use to fill gaps. We hope this has helped, we have emailed you a photo of the panels for you reference. Thank you again for your question

Q :Can you give me the length and height of each panel. Is 100 x 400mm the size of each slate attached to the panel?
A :Hello, Thank you for your question, this item comes in a Z shape of 100mm x 400mm where each sheet slots into each other to have a uniform look, each individual 100 x 400 can weigh between 950 - 1000gm, the thickness can vary between 7mm-13mm We hope this is helpful.

A :Good morning, Thank you for your question. Unfortunetly for the claddings, we havent got any corner tiles however the claddings are usually cut and slotted together around corners by the tilers. Many thanks.

Q :Hi are these suitable to go on an external garage block wall for aesthetic or would it need a waterproof membrane. Many thanks

Q :Hi,what are these panels made of and are they easy to cut?
A :Good afternoon Mr Fulton These tiles are made from natural slate tiles that are stuck together to make a Z shape where each panel slots into each other to seamlessly make up the overall installation. Providing the correct natural stone tile cutting blade is used, they are easier to cut than more harder stones such as marble and granite. I hope this is helpful information.
Ross
Q :Hi, I’m just wondering in how these are fixed? I would be fixing these to a plasterboard wall which has been painted?
A :Hello Ross A acrylic based primer such as BAL Primer should be applied to the plasterboard with a brush or roller and leave to dry before applying any powered adhesives. The joints and internal corners should be reinforced using a suitable alkaline joint tape before tiling. It is also advised to apply a thin coat of adhesive onto the tape. If you’re using a ready-mixed adhesive such as BAL White Star Plus or BAL All Star then no priming is required. We hope this is helpful.
Diana
Q :Are these panels actually 3d or is it a picture/photo of bricks just for effect ?
A :Hello Diana Claddings and Split face tiles are manufactured with varying thickness of smaller individual tiles. This is not an effect but more the natural look of the tiles themselves. We hope this is helpful information.
