Q :Can the silver travertine (12mm thick) be used outside as a 'gate tile'? So for an outdoor 'wall use' rather than 'floor use'. Thank you
11/04/2021
A :Hello Anna
The thickness of any natural stone is only taken into consideration if it is going to injure weight of any kind on it surface, if the tile is not going to be exposed to any weight then it will be perfectly fine to use outdoors, however please bear in mind that they will also be exposed to all weather conditions and thicker tiles handle that better than thinner tiles over its lifetime.
We hope this is helpful.

Q :Can you be more specific regarding the need for more maintenance using these tiles with wet U/F heating systems please? What do you mean by 'filling the tiles' and fillers 'popping out'?
Do you haver to fill them upon installation and redo sometimes, if so, how often? Also does filling them mean they are no longer tumbled but smooth finish instead?
I thought travertine was a good material to use with U/F heating??
Thank you

A :Hello,
Thank you for your question.
The silver travertine tumbled and unfilled, is suitable for underfloor heating , and there are no fillers in this tile. However, during the grouting process you may have some holes filled, this does not make it a different finish and is still sutable for under floor heating.
Many thanks.

Q :I am looking for a natural stone flooring, but one that has a good slip resistance level. Can you advise whether these tiles would meet that criteria?
26/10/2020
A :Good morning Mr Poole
Thank you for your interest in our products and we hope you are safe and well.
Although this product is not as slippery as any polished tiles when wet, it is still not classed as anti-slip as tiles that are specifically manufactured that way have to go through additional steps of processing.
We hope this is helpful.
If you do have any other queries please feel free in contacting us and we will do our best to help.

A :Hello ,
Minimum thickness requirement for outdoor tiles is 20mm , although we have pavings in required thickness , we do not currently have silver travertine in this thickness therefore none of our silver travertine are suitable for outdoor use.
