Some damaged tiles, this seems to be the case usually with split face sheets, the same thing happened with another order of ours from a different company. We still used them as smaller fil in pieces. The product itself is very good quality and the staff were helpful on the phone.

Q :Ive never used split tile before, can a 305x305 be cut down? Is it tricky to get a straight edge that way? Thanks.

A :Hello Sally These are natural stone tiles therefore, if the correct cutting tools are used then they are not any harder to work with than regular stone tiles. We hope this is helpful.

A :Hello Simon, Split Face tiles are distinctive and unique in that they have varying thickness of small tiles glued together to make up the overall tile therefore, the thickness of tiles can vary between 8 to 12 mm and sometimes a little bit more. Hope this is helpful.

Q :I have dual aspect integrated log fire. At present the chimney breast plaster is cracking with the heat generated. Do these tiles withstand heat. If not , could you recommend any that do. Many thanks Allison Rainford

Q :Can this product be used in a wet room or shower enclosure?

A :Hello, Thank you for your question. Unfortunately we would not recommend split faces to be used in a wet room, due to not being able to grout the split face water will seek through and bacteria can build up, even if a waterproof membrane is used it is still not suitable for a wet room.
